Total cases: 11 (10 officers, 1 civilian employee)

A police officer who’s “assigned to a South Side district” and a civilian employee who “works at a West Side district” are newly-confirmed cases, per a CPD statement.
Cook County Jail (Sheriff’s Office)
Total cases: 33 (9 employees, 24 detainees)
New cases today: 11
So far, 89 jail detainees have been tested for coronavirus after they showed “flu-like symptoms,” the sheriff’s office said. Of those:
Additionally, a total of nine members of the sheriff’s office staff have tested positive, up from five yesterday, according to the sheriff’s statement.

Another member of the court’s Adult Probation Department today tested positive for COVID-19, according to a memo to employees from Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans. The worker last reported to their job on the lower level of the courthouse at 26th and California on Mar. 16, Evans said. They were not showing symptoms while on the job, the judge added.
Yesterday, Evans announced that another Adult Probation Department tested positive after last working on Mar. 13. That employee was also asymptomatic while at work, according to Evans.
